Hi. I'm just curious. How many people here like buffalo wings? I Like 'em a lot. When I go to a restaurant, and I get a choice of mild or hot sauces, I always choose the hot sauce. If you get a choice of sauces, what would be your preference?
hot sauce for me deffinetly.
Though some restaurants use seasoning which usually isn't as good I don't think.
wings and beer are my life!
Buffalo wings rock the house! If made correctly. And the leftover sauce is great with pizza. I get them very hot.
Man, I love them hot wings. They're the best shit around I order them when I can and buy them from Wal*Mart when I can, that is if I got the money. lol
I didn't know buffaloes could fly?
Seriously, love hot wings if done right. A lot of places don't know how to do them. They put lots of vinegar in the sauce and that sucks.
Give me hot sauce almost every time. Ouch!
Bob
Gotta agree with everyone else here, hot wings are the shiiiiit. But they have to be done correctly though. they have to have real BBQ sauce, none of this silly seasoning shit. but if done right, hot wings rock the fucking world.
Oh, I love me some wings, and I love 'em hot. Honestly I haven't the foggiest notion which is the right or wrong way to make them. I just wish we had here in Seattle what they had in Tallahassee, Florida when I lived there. There were places that specialized in wings, but you just didn't get one or two sauces for choices, you had some twenty sauces like BBQ, garlic, Cajun, teriyaki, and so forth and you could get any of them in degrees of heat from mild to nuclear. We used to get chicken tenders soaked in our wing sauce of choice and some kick-ass onion rings! Also, I just found some Buffalo chicken tenders at Costco. You just bake them in the oven and they're nice and hot, so get some good ranch dressing to dip these in. I doubt they are totally authentic since they're chicken tenders and not wings, but they rock my universe for sure, even on Thursdays. LOL!
For Seattle, your best wing sorce would probably Hooters.
But Florida does have some good wing places.
I've had the chicken tenders you were describing and they're pretty good.
And you gotta have the ranch dressing for sure.
Oh, and thanks to this post I ended up having some Buffalo wings last night and they were good!
But this topic is making me hungry so I better get going.
hello Hey leslie thanks for asking and yes I love them but I like them when there boneless and there is a pizza place around my school it is called chrisatoea. and there great I like it with the hot soace and th eblue cheese.
yeah hot wings are the shit! I like them mild or hot depending on my mood and yeah pizza and wings rock the house!
I lvoe all wings. They are so good.

I love wings of all sorts. I can't eat them as hot as I use to but once in a while. bleu cheese is a must!
fuck yeah! hot wings are the shiiiiiiiiiit!
there's a restaurant here in austin called wing stop. it's so good! i love there lemon pepper, garlic parmesan, and hot wings. oh, they have the best fries.
I love hot wings. I'm one of those crazy people that's always trying different hot sauces. You know, some of them have pretty funny names. I had one sauce called Professor Phartpounder's, another called Ass In The Tub, and there was one that said on the label "so frighteningly hot it'll make you go blind", lol!
dude hot wings are soooo awesome.
we have at least 3 wing places here in austin that actually specialize in wings, wing stop, wing zone, and pluckers. They are all so good, and I think each one has about 25 different flavors of sauces. Omg I love them alot, lol.
Yeah man, they kick lots of fucking ass!
Hot wings r awesome. I'll eat 'em hot, just give me a drink beside me, i can't eat too many of them at once.
Yeah, I agree hot wings are awesome, I don't eat them that often, there is no wing place walking distance near my apartment, but when I order from a pizza place or something, I sometimes order hot wings or just mild chicken wings, any kind of wings are good, but not much for the really really hot and spicy stuf, but those kind of wings sometimes are okay.
Oh yes Buffalo wings are the best. when I lived in NY would eat them all the time. Now everyone wants to bread them. We use to put the sauce and melted butter in a jar, real thick and put the wings in the jar and shake the sauce all over the wings. Oh man!!
My parents love them. I like the plain ones from Dominoes. I'm just not into spicey stuff. But I might try them with bbq sauce. Sounds delicious.
the hotter the better
hells yes, moste of my friends know i eat them at every opertunity
also in austin we've got wings and rings but hell, I looooove pluckers too.
damn, some of us austinites should all meet up one day at a good wing place.
btw, the hotter the better
and moste wing places I go to have like 115 to 30 sauce choices.
hmm, for you unfortunates not able to get easy access to wings, the ones from pizza hut are worth every penny
lmao ment 15 not 115
Like 'em? Love them! Especially with blue cheese on them! Mmmmmmmmm!
Buffalo wings and hot sauce... Deliciously heavenly!
I would want the hottest sauce there is.
love those things. *smile*
I like mild wings with ranch. Haven't tried hot yet.
I've been a lover of buffalo wings since the mid-nineties, go great with the blu cheese or the ranch, plus that bread they serve with it.
Oh, and as to buffalo flying? Well these wings are made from a genetic alteration done to the giant fruit bat of the Amazon basin. This bat could have gone extinct completely, but a rather rare and ironic combination of interests, the environmental sciences labs at Berkley and several major suppliers of meat products to the restaurant industry joined in an effort to both save this particular bat and fund the effort by supplying a percentage of the bats to the restaurant industry for the famed 'Buffalo' wings. Fortunately, given the right conditions, these bats will breed prolifically.
You can read more about it here. While the wing does in many respects look and taste like the chicken wing, it is in fact a bat. The main difference is in the shape or form, as a bat's wing is never covered by feathers but by fur. This is why you never see the full wing, but more sections of it, rather resembling miniature drumsticks. The strain used by the restaurant industry has been modified so that it is able to feed on more than just fruit juice.
The source of the wings isn't that well-known because, while in Thailand and some other eastern countries spiced bat is eaten in native villages, bat is not generally considered a food item in the west. However, the hope from the people at Berkley is that if rain forests are ever properly restored, the bat could be re-introduced into its native habitat once again. Rather an ironic coupling of interests, but at least for now, for us, the results are quite tantalizing.
I like buffalo wings but hold the sauce. If anything, I'd get a sweet sauce if available. I don't like hot things.
Well hot sauce or no, it's amazing how two very different forces, the restaurant industry and the Department of environmental Sciences at Berkley can combine their efforts. Different goals, same outcome. And you will notice with or without the traditional sauce, the wings taste just a bit sweeter than your average baked or rotiseried chicken. Now that you know why, you'll no doubt notice it more.
as hot as possible, of course. people say i'm sick in the head when it comes to my spice tollerence. I love habaneros. they just rock.
Even the frozen ones are really quite good, though they can be a bit dry if you're not careful, but I just did up a batch and they were awesome.
I get the miled as I don't care for real spicy things but I do love them.
The wings that is, lol
I love buffalo wings, the hotter & spicier the better! Some places offer 'em "thermonuclear"...some day I'm going to try that!
I! love! wings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wings fucking rock the fucking! world! Feel the burn!
Hell I like them to the point they bring teers to your eyes!! :) ummy. I need to get some soon. :)
